a week in western part of croatia, gorski kotar, was really a healing for soul. peaceful mountains, curved green meadows, cold lakes, horrizon textured with pines. endless forests. chilly nights and fireplace glowing. for us, a heaven.
we rented a small house in village lokve, use it as a homebase for trips around the area and as a much appreciated resting point for our devastated feets, as we had walked a lot.
